The ombudsman may only be approached after an attempt to settle the dispute amicably with the lawyer, following a written complaint. For any dispute concerning fees, the Bâtonnier (President of the Bar) of the Mulhouse Bar may also be approached under the conditions provided for by law (articles 174 et seq. of the decree of 27 November 1991).
